OXNARD — Arnold LaRochelle Mathews VanConas & Zirbel LLP (A to Z Law) recently announced that Maria Godinez has been named Paralegal of the Year by the Ventura County Paralegal Association. Godinez, who works primarily with the Oxnard firm’s Probate and Estate Planning department, has been with A to Z Law since 2008.
“I have been fortunate to find a career I am proud of and enjoy working in,” Godinez stated in a media release. “As a paralegal, I enjoy working as a team with the attorneys and clients to set up individualized plans and goals that create the best outcomes for each client.”

A Santa Paula native, Godinez holds a bachelor’s degree in law and society and American Bar Association-approved Paralegal Studies Professional Certificate, both from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is an active member of the Ventura County Paralegal Association, having served on the executive board, various committees and chaired the Annual Springtime Educational Conference. Godinez also volunteers her time at the Casa Pacifica Center for Children and Families and served as co-chair of the Yummie Top Chef Awards at the nonprofit’s annual wine and food festival.
