Oxnard Convention & Visitors Bureau Produces New Expanded Visitor’s Guide

OXNARD — The Oxnard Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has produced a new Oxnard Visitor’s Guide now available for both visitors and residents.

The Visitor’s Guide was recently unveiled to tourism partners and city leaders at a gathering at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Mandalay Beach Resort. The guide is a glossy magazine-type format with new elements highlighting Oxnard’s best beaches, its picturesque Channel Islands Harbor, water activities, the vibrant, historic downtown, the Collection at RiverPark and other hidden gems.

The guide also has an extensive focus on the Channel Islands National Park with an insider’s perspective including interviews with park rangers who share vital information including best times to travel to the islands, what to bring & expect and even how to care for this natural treasure.

“We wanted to take the opportunity to highlight all the amazing activities and culture in Oxnard,” stated Julie Mino President & CEO of the Oxnard Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Our goal was also to make the guide accessible to our locals and be something they can display proudly at their businesses or even at home on a coffee table,” continued Mino. “We hope everyone will find something new or exciting they want to check out from reading the guide,” added Mino.

The front cover of the Visitor’s Guide was created to help evoke a sense of calm and beauty and was captured on an excursion with Marina Sailing out of Channel Islands Harbor. Photographer, Jeff Lipsky took the scenic shot of Kyle and Kat Sirignano owners of Honey Cup Coffee & Kitchen (located in the Channel Islands Harbor) serving as models who recently celebrated their 5-year anniversary.

Destination Creative Group published the new Oxnard Visitors Guide. The group specializes in destination publications and has produced visitor guides for other cities such as Santa Barbara, Ventura, San Luis Obispo and more.

The Oxnard CVB is partnering with Certified Folder Display to distribute the guide to some 444 locations throughout California, Arizona and even an airport in Missoula, Montana. Locally, the guide will be available to all the advertising partners, businesses and at the Oxnard hotels for visitors. The Oxnard CVB will also utilize the guide at leisure & meeting tradeshows as well as at the yearly festivals.

The Oxnard Visitors Guide will be published annually and can be downloaded on the CVB’s website, www.visitoxnard.com. Hard copies can also be mailed to individuals upon request.
