OXNARD — UC Riverside English Professor and California State Poet Lauret Juan Felipe Herrera will read poems from his many books and discuss his journey from being a migrant worker to a published poet and a voice for the Mexican American experience to holding office for poetry in California from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 at the Oxnard College Performing Arts Building, 4000 So. Rose Ave., Oxnard.
The free event (parking is $2) is part of the 2014 OC Spring Literature & Arts Lecture Series.
