Strolling mariachis, food of every conceivable variety and arts and crafts booths and music on the main stage — all this can be found at “Old Spanish Days” in Santa Barbara through Aug. 5.

Festivities officially began the evening of Aug. 1 with “La Fiesta Pequeña” (“The Little Festival”) presentation featuring mariachi performers, folklorico and flamenco dancers, singers and other entertainers in front of the historic Santa Barbara Mission.

Activities continue with El Mercado de la Guerra, with food, arts and crafts booths and the main stage located at De la Guerra Plaza next to the Santa Barbara City Hall.

Other events include the Santa Barbara Mission docent tours, Courthouse Fiesta tours, “Las Noches de Ronda,” the Fiesta Stock Horse Show and Rodeo, and the 82nd annual El Desfile de los Niños (Children’s parade) on Aug. 4.
