Students will learn the history, theory, tools, and techniques of three basic printing processes: linocuts, silkscreens, and monotypes. Kids will create original, reusable print forms and will practice printmaking all under the enthusiastic guidance of teaching artist Lisa Ann Mahony. Students will learn essential techniques for working in oils, color theory, composition and proportions, and how to finish a painting like a pro. If you’ve ever wanted to explore oil painting, this is the perfect opportunity!
