Oct. 19 — Scout-O-Rama set to take over Kids’ Zone at the Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair

Scouting America, VCC will bring the wow factor with huge lineup of kids’ activities on Oct. 19

THOUSAND OAKS — Scouting America, Ventura County Council (SAVCC) is bringing the adventure to the heart of the Conejo Valley! On Sunday, Oct. 19, Scouting America will take over the Kids’ Zone at the annual Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair, hosted by the Rotary Club of Thousand Oaks, transforming it into the ultimate Scout-O-Rama experience.

This year, Scout-O-Rama is going BIG — combining more than a dozen booth spaces into one massive, hands-on, activity-packed adventure for kids, families and the entire community.

“OK, we’re not taking over the whole fair,” laughed Andrea McClellan, CEO, “but we are taking over the Kids’ Zone  and it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen before! Scout-O-Rama is the ultimate showcase of what makes Scouting so special — fun, friendship, skill-building and a whole lot of adventure.”

From rope bridges to pinewood derby races, Scout-O-Rama will feature a wide variety of activities designed to spark curiosity and excitement in kids of all ages. Attendees can expect:

  • Outdoor Adventures: Camping skills, knot tying, rope bridges and fire safety
  • STEM Fun: Hands-on exhibits that inspire problem-solving and discovery
  • Friendly Competition: Pinewood derby cars and interactive games
  • Creative Activities: Crafts, challenges and demonstrations led by Scouts

Families are invited to stop by and enjoy meaningful, memorable experiences while discovering all the opportunities Scouting offers.
