VENTURA — The City of Ventura is taking proactive steps to solicit feedback from the community on tenant protections and housing. As part of the implementation of the 2021-2029 Housing Element, staff is exploring the potential for programs that support tenants and property owners. This approach ensures that both tenants and property owners can thrive in a balanced, well-protected environment. The City’s Housing Services Division is hosting a series of workshops to garner various perspectives on tenant protections and housing rights in the City of Ventura.
“These workshops are an integral part of understanding the community’s perspective on tenant protections and housing stability,” said Community Development Director Rachel Dimond. “The City seeks to understand the community’s vision for balancing the various interests of all parties affected by rental housing.”
The workshops will also cover housing law implementation, offering participants the opportunity to provide feedback on key aspects. Available in both English and Spanish, the events offer flexible options for in-person or virtual attendance, ensuring broad accessibility to the community.
The City remains committed to fostering a balanced housing environment that benefits both tenants and property owners.

VENTURA – – La Ciudad de Ventura esta? tomando medidas proactivas para obtener comentarios de nuestra comunidad sobre la proteccio?n de inquilinos y la vivienda. Como parte de la implementacio?n del Elemento de Vivienda 2021-2029, el personal esta? explorando el potencial de programas que apoyen tanto a los inquilinos como a los propietarios. La Divisio?n de Servicios de Vivienda de la Ciudad esta? organizando una serie de talleres para recopilar diversas perspectivas sobre la proteccio?n de inquilinos y los derechos de vivienda en la Ciudad de Ventura.
“Estos talleres son una parte integral para comprender la perspectiva de la comunidad sobre la proteccio?n de inquilinos y la estabilidad de la vivienda”, dijo Rachel Dimond, Directora de Desarrollo Comunitario. “La Ciudad busca entender la visio?n de la comunidad para equilibrar los diversos intereses de todas las partes afectadas por la vivienda en alquiler”.
Los talleres tambie?n cubrira?n la implementacio?n de la ley de vivienda, ofreciendo a los participantes la oportunidad de proporcionar comentarios sobre aspectos clave.
