The Oxnard College 2011 Student Digi Film Festival will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 4-5 at 7 p.m. at the Oxnard College Performing Arts building, 4000 So. Rose Ave., Oxnard, the college reported in a media release.
The Student Digital Film Festival is an Oxnard Independent Film event made possible through the generous support of the City of Oxnard and Oxnard College, with additional support by community sponsors. The mission of the festival is to educate and empower students of all ages by supporting development and exposure of their artistic expression and authentic individual voices. The festival showcases the achievements of youth and students of all ages in order to provide a forum for emerging artists.
Award categories include drama, comedy, music video, effects, news, documentary, commercials/public service announcements, and experimental video. Additional awards include the “People’s Choice” award chosen by the Festival audience and an “All Star” award, which is given to the school with the highest cumulative score of all entries.
