Dec. 21 — Thousand Oaks Farmer’s Market Brings ‘Good Tidings’ During the Holiday Season Holiday “Boutique” Mini Market will take Place at The Oaks Shopping Center

THOUSAND OAKS — To help ‘tide shoppers over through the holidays’, the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association (VCCFMA) is partnering with the Oaks Shopping Center to offer a four week long special event, “Holiday Boutique Mini Farmers’ Market”. The market will take place on Dec. 21 from 12 noon to 5 pm inside the Outdoor Village courtyard area of the mall located on the bottom level between Muvico and the main inside door entrance.

The Thousand Oaks Farmers’ Market, held on Thursdays, normally closes down for the holiday season each year and re-opens after the New Year. The Holiday Boutique Mini Market is a first-time, special event. “We are offering this boutique mini market to help our loyal customers during this ‘foodie’ season time of the year when they are preparing holiday meals and to help our farmers with some extra market days to sell their produce,” stated Karen Schott, Operations Manager for the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association. “In addition, our goal is to also expose our farmers’ market to people who may not know about it out here at The Oaks on Thursdays,” added Schott.

Approximately 15 vendors will participate in the Holiday Boutique including Novy Ranch who will offer their 100% grass-fed beef great for entertaining, gifting and quick meals. Others include Apricot Lane Farm offering a variety of mixed vegetables and Shepard Farms, known for their fresh farm eggs. Other favorites include You Bite German Sausages and Pudwill Berry Farms.  Shoppers will also find fresh strawberries, delicious hummus, sweet honey and more. In addition, vendors will provide shoppers with ideas for gift baskets and stocking stuffers.
