OXNARD — The educational tall ship Mystic Whaler was honored to have welcomed graduating seniors from the Oxnard Union High School District to Mystic Whaler for a Class of 2025 portrait. The students arrived in their graduation finery and posed for a variety of photos to celebrate the graduates of 2025. Accompanying them, and proudly standing beside them, was OUHSD Superintendent Dr. Tom McCoy.
In the social media posting by the District displaying the images from the photoshoot, they commented, “We’re proud to share this year’s district graduation photo, featuring a student from each of our schools — a powerful symbol of the Class of 2025 coming together. Special thanks to the Mystic Whaler at Channel Islands Harbor for providing a beautiful backdrop for this year’s photoshoot. We were inspired by what the ship represents — learning, exploration, and the spirit of adventure — all of which reflect our students’ next chapter.”

About the Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD): OUHSD was established in 1901 to serve the growing communities of Oxnard and Port Hueneme. The district began with a single school which opened its doors in 1902. Today, OUHSD serves approximately 17,000 students across multiple comprehensive high schools and alternative education programs.
