Museum of Ventura County update of Feb. 13 — Design in the Making: Opening Reception on Feb. 16

Major funding for these programs is made possible by the City of
San Buenaventura, the County of Ventura and private and community donors.
There is plenty to see and experience at your Museum! This weekend marks the opening of Design in the Making: Ventura County Architectureand The Dragon Awakes: Qing Dynasty, an exhibit of George Stuart Historical Figures® spanning centuries of key personalities from Chinese history.
Featuring magnificent miniature embroidery from artisans in China and Great Britain, Exhibit Designer and George Stuart Historical Figures® Curator Eric Howes contends that “These are perhaps the most important in the collection in that they present the most elaborate clothing of all the George Stuart figures. Mr. Stuart’s accurate reproductions of period Qing Dynasty clothing are truly a sight to behold.”
Join us at the Museum of Ventura County for the opening reception to both new exhibits this Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and enjoy interactive activities, refreshments and a no-host bar. Admission is Free for members, $5 for non-members. We hope to see you at the Museum!
