Museum of Ventura County update for May 2 — Women Beyond Borders Opening Reception + Weekend Events!

Join us at the Museum of Ventura County this Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and be among the first to view the new exhibit, “Women Beyond Borders.”
This extraordinary exhibition displays boxes created by women throughout the world from Women Beyond Borders touring collection, along with historical information and video history of the Women Without Borders journey, dating back to its inception in 1991.
Admission to the opening reception is Free for Museum members and those holding tickets for the May 3rd performance at the Rubicon Theatre, $5 for nonmembers. Wine and Hors D’oeuvres will be served. Women Beyond Borders is on display in the Community Gallery and the Helen Yunker Atrium Friday, May 3—Sunday, June 30, 2019.
There are several events taking place this weekend at both the Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula and the Museum of Ventura County in Ventura, including Free First Sunday activities, the closing reception for the Ventura Unified School District Art Show and more!
Join us this Sunday, May 5, 2019 for the 2nd Annual Ventura Unified School District Art Show closing reception at the Museum of Ventura County. There will be live music in the Museum’s Courtyard and Garden between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. from DATA Mariachi Band, the Cabrillo Jazz Band and the Cabrillo String Orchestra. This is your last opportunity to see this years student entrees in the Museum—don’t miss out!
