Free Family Spring Fling
Hop into spring with a fun community celebration, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday,March 31, as the Museum of Ventura County hosts free family activities on the Museum Plaza in conjunction with the City of Ventura egg hunt and street fair.
All activities and crafts are free, thanks to the generosity of museum supporter Mimi Allin and TOLD Corporation. Admission to the museum is also free; the museum is open until 5 p.m. There is ample free parking available. For information, visit venturamuseum.org or call 805.653.0323.

Ventura County Resident Artist Ryan Carr
Join the Museum’s Resident Artist Ryan Carr from 6 to 8 p.m., April 3, for our next figure drawinggroup session at the Museum’s Smith Pavilion, 100 E. Main Street, Ventura. This popular event meets twice-monthly to draw live, clothed models.
The group alternates between meeting at the Museum and meeting at local breweries. Bring your drawing pads, charcoal, pencils, pastels, whatever your favorite medium! No liquid mediums, please. All skill levels welcome. Admission is free.
Neal Barr Shares Behind the Scenes Stories in Upcoming Talk
Neal Barr will present a gallery talk, 1:30-2:30 p.m., April 4, providing a rare opportunity to hear the stories behind the scenes of his most interesting, and at times provocative, photographs.
Barr’s extraordinary life and career, spanning more than five decades, from his early beginnings in Ventura to his fashion career in New York City and back again to Ventura.
Exhibit Extended! In High Style: The Photography of Neal Barr will be extended through April 14 at the Museum of Ventura County, 100 E. Main Street, Ventura. Visit venturamuseum.org for more information.
