Join us at the Ag Museum in Santa Paula on Saturday,July 28, from noon to 3 p.m. for opening day activities including a dummy calf roping station, rawhide riatas weaving stations, Buckaroo crafts table and chuck wagon style grub by Santa Paula’s famous Hillgrillies BBQ.
The Vaquero Campfires exhibit is a nostalgic look at the history and traditions of the Vaquero, Spanish for cowboy or cattle driver, who excelled in the art of making a horse as flexible as silk to his rider’s will.

Pop-up exhibit opening July 28 for Ventura artist John Robertson’s large-scale acrylic paintings celebrating scenes from the Ventura County Fair, a favorite past-time of the artist and his family, will be on display at theAgriculture Museum through September 9.
Known nationally for his large-scale sports paintings, many of which are on display at major stadiums, Robertson paints what he sees–local people and scenery–using house paint on large rolls of canvas to accommodate the grand-scale size. The Agriculture Museumis located at 926 Railroad Avenue, Santa Paula.

  • Saturday, July 28: the David Mirisch exhibit will be closed for a private event.
  • Sunday, July 29: Natural State, Black and White and Read All Over and the Chumash exhibits will all be closed until 3 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 29: the Smith Gallery and Nook and Garden will be open and free to the public until 3 p.m.
