Museum of Ventura County update for Jan. 2 — Opening Reception! Chris Hillman: Time Between on Jan. 11

Major funding for these programs is made possible by the City of
San Buenaventura, the County of Ventura and private and community donors.
Happy New Year!
There is plenty to be excited about to start the New Year at the Museum of Ventura County.
The Museum is privileged to present the new exhibit Chris Hillman: Time Between featuring the storied rise of country rock pioneer Chris Hillman and his memorabilia, opening January 11. Along with frequent collaborators Roger McGuinn and Gram Parsons, he was a key figure in defining the genre through his seminal work in “The Byrds” and “The Flying Burrito Brothers”. We hope to see you at the opening reception on January 11, 2019 at 6 p.m.!
Tickets are on-sale now for An Evening of Song & Stories with Chris Hillman, taking place Thursday, January 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Museum. Seating is limited, and this is a very special and rare opportunity to see a local legend and national treasure in an intimate setting at your museum.
The Museum and the American Institute of Architects Ventura County are seeking submissions for the upcoming exhibit Design in the Making, opening February 19, 2019. We want your ideas for the future of architecture in Ventura County, from new public spaces to redesigning Downtown, plus your take on architectural controversies and currently pursued building projects. Visit www.VenturaMuseum.org/Submission for additional information and to submit.
