Museum of Ventura County expands office space in Camarillo to advance long-term vision for sustainable growth

VENTURA COUNTY — The Museum of Ventura County is beginning a new chapter in its long-term vision for sustainable growth. With donor support, the Museum is expanding into Camarillo while advancing its broader goals of amplifying the Museum’s countywide presence and strengthening its service to the community.

The Camarillo location extends the Museum’s reach closer to East Ventura County, complementing its main campus in downtown Ventura and its Agriculture Museum in Santa Paula. The new office will initially serve the Museum’s administrative staff, but the move will also lay the groundwork to increase capacity for its collections, archives, and research library in both Ventura and Camarillo.

“This expansion reflects the Museum’s commitment to stewarding resources wisely and fulfilling its mission to spark curiosity, foster compassion, and bring people together through history, art, and culture,” said Elena Brokaw, the Museum’s Barbara Barnard Smith Chief Executive Officer. “We are deeply grateful to TOLD Corporation for their support in helping us take this important step to better serve Ventura County.”

This partnership highlights the value of nonprofits and private organizations working together to strengthen their communities while planning responsibly for the future.

“The Museum of Ventura County plays a vital role in preserving our region’s history and celebrating its art,” said Rod Gilbert, President of TOLD Corporation. “Our company is proud to direct resources to local nonprofits as a way of giving back to the region that has made TOLD successful. Supporting the Museum’s expansion helps enrich Ventura County’s cultural life well into the future.”
