Join us at the Museum of Ventura County July 24th for Ivor Davis: Close and Personal with Mary Olson. Mary Olson is the general manager of KCLU Radio, 88.3 FM, Ventura County’s home for National Public Radio and local news. Mary was part of the original team that signed KCLU on-air three decades ago and under her dynamic leadership, has helped it grow into an award-winning news station with a large audience throughout three counties. Prior to joining KCLU, she was the National Promotion Director for Ticketmaster Corporation and had previously been VP of Press and Station Relations for a television syndication company. She received her undergraduate degree in communications with a major in journalism from Purdue University and her Masters in Public Administration from California Lutheran University.

Challengers of the Status Quo – An Exhibition of George Stuart Historical Figures®

Challengers of the Status Quo is an ongoing exhibit at the Museum of Ventura County showcasing the extraordinary artistry of George Stuart, renowned for his lifelike, quarter-scale Historical Figures®. This powerful exhibition features eleven individuals who defied convention and changed history – figures like Madam C.J. Walker, Oscar Wilde, Florence Nightingale, and Abraham Lincoln. Through Stuart’s meticulously crafted sculptures, visitors are invited to reflect on the courage, resilience, and vision of those who challenged norms to shape a better future.
