Join us for an evening of Cochineal Dye Demonstrations, Mezcal Tasting, and Delicious Oaxacan Cuisine at Sangre De Nopal artist Porfirio Gutierrez’s Studio in Ventura.

Funds raised will provide critical support for museum exhibitions and programs like Sangre de Nopal currently on view.

Valgur Mini Concert

April 27th, 6-7 PM

We heard you all loved our last Mini Concert so here’s another one for you!

MCASB is proud to present Valgur in concert at the Center Stage Theater!

“Valgur is a psychedelic-pop / indie-pop band hailing from the town of Juchitán de Zaragoza in Oaxaca, Mexico. The band is comprised of Elizabeth and Hugo Valdivieso, and Julio Sánchez. Elizabeth Valdivieso Gurrión formed the band, and the name Valgur is a combination of her surnames.” – The Slute

They have also been featured in TWO Rolling Stones Articles

There will also be local vendors outside the theater and MCASB will be hosting a reception in the museum before and after the concert.
