Mitchell Rosenberg named agent of the year

SAN FERNANDO — A longtime leader in the region’s financial services sector received the prestigious Agent of the Year Award by the San Fernando Valley General Office of New York Life. It is the fifth time in eight years that Mitch Rosenberg, CLU(r), ChFC(r), CFP(r), MSFS, AEP(r), has earned the distinction.

Agent of the Year honors the agent with the top production in the San Fernando Valley General Office, which includes Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara counties.

“We applaud Mitch for this achievement,” said Kevin Boland, managing partner of the San Fernando Valley General Office. “Being acknowledged as the Agent of the Year is a significant
accomplishment. He received this recognition for his ability to meet the financial needs of families and businesses in the Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County areas including the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys.”

Rosenberg is founder of MDR Insurance & Financial Services in Thousand Oaks. He has spent more than 37 years working closely with individuals, families, and businesses to help set them up for a fruitful present – and a thriving, secure tomorrow.

“My goal is to listen and take each interaction as an opportunity to provide all the information someone needs to help set them up for a successful future,” Rosenberg said.

The honor follows a long string of professional accolades. He has been a Pacific Coast Business Times “Who’s Who in Insurance”, “Who’s Who in Finance” and “50 Fastest Growing Companies.”
Rosenberg has achieved “Top of the Table” status in the Million Dollar Roundtable (MDRT) which is the highest level of MDRT membership and places him among the top professionals among the global life insurance and financial services industry. He also is a Qualifying and Life Member at MDRT.

Rosenberg is also a Member Agent of The Nautilus Group(r) (and the Nautilus Plus Elite inner circle), which is a service of New York Life Insurance Co. Membership limited to an exclusive group of insurance professionals.

Mitch received his Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Master of Science in Financial Services Degree designations from the American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and his Certified Financial Planner designation from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He earned his Certified Public Accountant credentials working for Price Waterhouse & Company.

Rosenberg remains active in his community, a former president of both the Conejo Valley Estate Planning Council and Woodland Hills Estate and Tax Planning Councils. He is also a founding and executive committee member of the Provisors(r) Warner Center I Chapter. He is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, Finseca (formerly the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting) and a founding member of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley Alumni Network (he graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Berkeley).

He also volunteers his services for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and has secured Community Impact Grants from the New York Life Foundation. He and his wife, Melanie, reside in Thousand Oaks. They have three children who are active participants in their communities.
