Volunteers are needed support the monthly Mixteco/Indigena Community Organizing Project community meeting in Oxnard on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Harrington Elementary School, 2501 Gisler St. and Rio Real Elementary School, 1140 Kenny St..
“We will be packing the food for the meeting at both locations that same day at 2 p.m. We would love to have your help for food packing and we will also need help with child care for the Mixtec community members that are helping to pack the food,” Donna Foster, operations manager, stated in a media release. “The meetings will start at 4 p.m. and we will need help with children’s activities, so we will also be needing volunteers later in the day.”
