AGOURA HILLS — Hard Work Pays Off! – Michael Brockers, number 90 from the LA Rams, recently visited with approximately 50 members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley’s Thousand Oaks club sites. Brockers talked to the members about the importance of reading and academics. Members had an opportunity to ask questions as well as share their favorite books during the session. In addition, members were also tasked with the challenge to complete a reading log over a six-week period and submit the information with a video to be posted on Brockers’ website. Besides emphasizing the importance of reading, Brockers also shared his journey of how dedication and hard work helped him and others to be at the top of their field. Alex Esqueda, a 7th grade student and Boys & Girls Clubs member, shares his favorite book with fellow students while Brockers looks on.
