CENTRAL COAST — People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) has announced that Mechanics Bank is returning for a second year as Presenting Sponsor for their annual Builder Games fundraiser to be held on April 26. This generous $15,000 sponsorship, along with additional funds raised from the event, will benefit the Supportive Housing and Camino Scholars programs of PSHH.
The 2025 Builder Games will see eight local teams made up of architects, engineers, bankers, IT experts, and community supporters go head-to-head in a series of building-related challenges as they build playhouses for children. Guests will have the opportunity to cheer on teams, enjoy gourmet food, fine wine, craft beer, and a live DJ. In addition to raffles and silent auction items, playhouses will be auctioned off at the end of the event.
“We are immensely grateful to see the return of Mechanics Bank as our Presenting Sponsor this year,” said Ken Trigueiro CEO & President. “They’ve consistently been a huge supporter of the event and even more so of the residents who will ultimately benefit from their generosity. They are a key player in the success of the Builder Games, and we are proud to have them stand beside us as we continue to raise funds for these vital programs.”
This sponsorship will help to support residents through PSHH’s education program, Camino Scholars, which serves over 400 students per year and their families with free, year-round academic assistance. It will also help to fund the Supportive Housing Program, which offers free, confidential, clinical case management and onsite care to over 5,000 residents in three counties.
“Each year, the Builder Games brings our community together to raise essential funds for People’s Self-Help Housing education programs and a host of complementary services,” said Lisa Adams Mechanics bank Broad Street Branch Manager. “We are very pleased to continue our support to foster local awareness and engagement, and to help ensure that our affordable housing communities receive the financial resources they need to thrive.”
