THOUSAND OAKS — Make plans to put on your boots and fanciest cowboy hat and head over to Conejo Valley Days’ Golden Horseshoe stage, Friday, May 11 (Conejo Creek Parks South, Janss Rd./23 Freeway exit) in Thousand Oaks. The evening will feature county music and line dancing.

Whether a pro or beginner, you’ll have a fun time line dancing under the guidance of line dance instructor Kristal Lynn Konzen. Lessons are at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. This is the third year Konzen has taught line dancing during country night at CVD. She teaches line at Borderline in Thousand Oaks, at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, the Simi Valley Round Up and a L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

Rebel Heart will take to the Friday night stage at 6:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. This southern rock band is always a festival favorite and will perform current country hits, classic rock and original music. “Rebel Heart has a tremendous following and is one of southern California’s hottest southern rock bands,” says Frank Akrey, CVD executive director. “They have been playing at CVD for several years and we’re fortunate to have them.”

The DJ for the night is Josh Kelly. The CVD dance floor is now 30’ x 40’, twice the size as last year.
