UPDATE: The Museum’s 10th Annual Fine Art Auction Fundraiser scheduled for Saturday, March 28 has been POSTPONED. We look forward to bringing you an incredible auction later this year.

 

The silent auction begins at 4:00 p.m. and runs through 5:30 p.m. The live auction will immediately follow from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Admission to the event is free. All proceeds will benefit the Santa Paula Art Museum, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

SANTA PAULA — You’re invited to the Santa Paula Art Museum’s 10th Annual Fine Art Auction Fundraiser on Saturday, March 28, 2020. It’s the Museum’s biggest fundraiser of the year! Help raise funds for the Museum’s many programs by bidding on museum-quality fine art for your home, and creative experiences to enjoy. The silent auction will run from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The live auction will immediately follow from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., led by professional auctioneer John Eubanks of California Auctioneers. Plus, enjoy live music by Shay Moulder, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and more. One lucky guest will even take home a painting by Jessie Arms Botke – just for attending the event! Admission to the event is free. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Santa Paula Art Museum, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. This event is sponsored by Rotary Club of Santa Paula, Ventura County Community Foundation, Bank of the Sierra and Limoneira.

Now in its tenth year, this year’s Fine Art Auction will be better than ever. Over 50 artworks, ranging from original paintings, drawings and photographs to decorative crafts and creative experiences, will be available in both a silent auction format and during an exciting live auction. More than 25 contemporary artists who have been featured in the Museum’s exhibitions have generously donated pieces to be auctioned off. They include Bill Dewey, Bruce Everett, Kevin Gleason, George Lockwood, Gina Niebergall, Susan Petty, Anette Power, Laura Wambsgans, Sharon Weaver, and more. Their incredible contemporary artworks will be auctioned off alongside historical pieces by early twentieth century California artists like Jessie Arms Botke, Cornelis Botke, and Douglas Shively. An online catalog of auction items will be available beginning March 16 at www.santapaulaartmuseum.org/auction.

Proceeds from the art auction will support the Museum’s many programs including its free ArtSPARK school tour program, monthly Free Family Days, free Teen Art Group, free Kids’ Art Fest and more.

The Santa Paula Art Museum occupies two historic buildings located at 117 N 10th Street and 123 N 10th Street in downtown Santa Paula. The Museum features rotating exhibitions of vintage and contemporary art, creative classes for children and adults, family-friendly events, live musical performances, a gift shop, and more. Regular museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
