SANTA BARBARA¡Viva el Arte de Santa Barbara!’ will present Las Cafeteras.

Born and raised east of the Los Angeles River, Las Cafeteras remix roots music to tell modern day stories with a positive message. Their Afro-Mexican beats, rhythms, and rhymes deliver inspiring lyrics that document the histories of a community seeking love and justice in the concrete jungle of Los Angeles.

Using traditional Son Jarocho instruments, Las Cafeteras sing in English, Spanish, and Spanglish while adding a remix of sounds, from rock to hip-hop to rancheras, using music as a vehicle to bridge cultures and communities.
