> The Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County has launched an enhanced website to ensure that business leaders can easily and efficiently access the latest information to help their companies grow, the organization reported in a media release. The site, www.edc-vc.com, has a fresh, clean layout and features a number of enhancements. It was designed to work better with mobile technology, for improved viewing on tablets and smartphone, and to connect more readily with social media platforms.

> The Economic Development Collaborative — Ventura County, the California Small Business Development Center and the U.S. Small Business Administration will present three free workshops in August at the EDC-VC, 1601 Carmen Drive, Suite 215, Camarillo. A “Consultant Professional Development” workshop, presented by Joe Huggins, SBDC adviser, will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15. An “Entrepreneurial Academy” workshop, presented by Huggins, will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15. The “Starting a Small Business” workshop, presented by Mary Anne Rooney, SBDC adviser, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18. Pre-approval is required for participation in the workshops.
