> The CLU Center for Entrepreneurship will presernt “Startup Weekend Conejo Valley” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 1 at the Huddle Campus.
The day after the Cal Lutheran New Venture Competition finals, the first Startup Weekend Conejo Valley will be held at the Huddle Campus, organizers reported in a media release.
Teams spend a weekend working on startup ideas beginning on Friday evening with a kickoff event, elevator pitches and team formation. Teams spend the weekend on customer discovery and minimum viable product development. On Sunday evening, each team pitches its startup to a panel of judges, who award prizes.
Open to the community and students, Startup Weekend is a great opportunity to learn more about entrepreneurship by participating. It’s also a great startup community-building exercise.
The cost is $99 for Developer, Designer and Non-Technical tickets, $25 for Demo Day on May 3 and free to volunteers. Go to http://www.eventbrite.com/e/startup-weekend-conejo-valley-thousand-oaks-tickets-16048274822?aff=UP+Community+Sites to register.
