SANTA BARBARA — The Santa Barbara Museum of Art will present “1st Thursday at SBMA” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at 1130 State St., Santa Barbara.

Museum Teaching Artists will help you experiment with ink on gold, fan-shaped paper as you compose your own poem in Chinese characters, inspired by the exhibition Bamboo, Rocks, and Old Trees: Chinese Calligraphy and Literati Painting.
