1:00 P.M. PICTURE THIS: CATALOGING YOUR DIGITAL FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHS
Family photographs may seem so complex that they defy organizing. Tame your digital family photographs by learning how to add names, dates, and other information to images to make them searchable. The session covers a simple and effective processes, from scanning and adding information for retrieval, to filing and backing up your family photographs, so you can do it once and do it right.

2:30 P.M. SIMPLIFYING GENEALOGY SOURCES AND CITATIONS
Bring order to the resources used in your family history research. Create simple and effective sources and citations for your family history research. Learn how to link your citations to your paper and digital records, and how create a source once and then cite it as needed. Examples for census, parish records, books, websites, DNA, paper records, and more are covered.

Nancy Loe, professional archivist, librarian, and genealogist, has managed archives and genealogy collections for more than three decades. Nancy has appeared on PBS’s American Experience, at RootsTech and Jamboree, and written genealogy guides on organizing and simplifying research.

Join us for discussion on using DNA results to further your genealogy research. Please bring your DNA User Name & Password; also bring your family tree (paper or electronic). If possible, bring your laptop, tablet or other portable device; this will facilitate your research.
