VENTURA — State Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) will host a free workshop on Monday, July 10th to help members of the business community understand the process of applying for income tax credits designed to save money, create jobs and contribute to local communities.
This workshop will be co-hosted by senior officials from the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), who will provide customized advice and guidance on how to apply for tax credits specifically for businesses. The workshop is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 10th from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Camarillo Public Library located at 4101 E. Las Posas Rd, Camarillo, CA 93010.
In 2014, California Governor Jerry Brown created the California Competes Tax Credit in an effort to help businesses achieve economic prosperity. Last year, over 30% of businesses that applied received tax credits anywhere between $20,000 and $10,000,000. This year, all California businesses will be able to apply for over $200 million in tax credits.
If you would like to attend the free workshop, please register on this Eventbrite page, or RSVP at our Facebook event or by calling Senator Jackson’s Oxnard office (805) 988-1940.
Jackson represents the 19th Senate District, which includes all of Santa Barbara County and western Ventura County.
