RECAP: An Evening of Sleep Wisdom with Dr. Danny Lewin at The District House

Dr. Lewin’s talk explored the intricacies of sleep, the importance of maintaining circadian health, and the fascinating concept of sleep consciousness. His experience as the founding director of the Behavioral Sleep Medicine and Pulmonary Behavioral Medicine Program at Children’s National Hospital, coupled with his role as an associate professor at George Washington University, shone through in his clear and comprehensive explanations. Dr. Lewin has contributed over 50 articles and chapters to the field, and his dedication to mentoring future healthcare providers was evident in his passionate delivery.

My passion for the arts began at the ripe old age of 2, when I began occupying myself for hours creating complex architectural structures out of color-coordinated building blocks.

Competing passions for acting, dancing, and singing manifested themselves slightly later in life at the age of 4 though my brilliant living room portrayals of Jennifer Beals in Flashdance, with whom I was obsessed.
