Journalist, filmmaker Karen Castillo Farfan to speak March 6 at Oxnard College

In celebration of International Women’s Day, journalist and filmmaker Karen Castillo Farfan will show her 8-minute film, featuring stories of young girls who enter gangs and the dangers once they’re inside and will discuss how she uses film to show that women born into hopeless and violent cultures can change.

The program will be presented from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 at the Oxnard College Performing Arts Building, 4000 So. Rose Ave., Oxnard.

The program is part of the weekly “Oxnard College Literature, Arts & Lecture Series Spring 2013.”
