SANTA MARIA — The Allan Hancock College men’s and women’s basketball programs will honor local first responders, veterans, and active-duty members of the military at the college’s inaugural Hometown Heroes Night on Jan. 31.
The event will feature two basketball games as the Bulldogs host Ventura College for a Western State Conference rivalry showdown. The men’s team will tip off first at 5 p.m., followed by the women’s game at 7 p.m. Both games will take place inside the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium at the college’s Santa Maria campus.
All local first responders and active and retired military personnel will be honored with a halftime performance during both contests and a brief recognition ceremony during the intermission of the second game.
First responders, veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families can reserve up to four free tickets by using a special passcode on the AHC Athletics ticketing page at ahcbulldogs.com/ticketing.

Los Bulldogs recibira?n a Ventura College para un enfrentamiento de rivalidad en la conferencia Western State. El juego del equipo masculino comenzara? a las 5 p.m., seguido por el juego del equipo femenino a las 7 p.m. Ambos juegos se llevara?n a cabo dentro del Gimnasio Conmemorativo Joe White en el campus de Santa Mari?a.
