PORT HUENEME — Earlier this month, Championship Wrestling from Hollywood rang in the new year in tremendous fashion by taping its 400th episode! The PP3 Cup rolled on, new alliances were formed, and a whole slew of new champions were crowned! So what does CWFH have in store for the Oceanview Pavilion on Sunday, January 20th?
In the first semi-final match of the 2019 PP3 Cup Tournament, Brandon Cutler will do battle with Bateman, who is sure to have Sara Wolfe by his side. Will The Main Man put a stop to the Cutler Comeback, or will Cutler deliver a critical hit to the former TV champ? Either way, the winner will have to be on his A-game, as they will take on either Adrian Quest or Danny “Limelight” Rivera, who will collide in the other semi-final match on February 10th.
Sightings of Ty Matthews have been few and far between ever since the aftermath of his abduction by Robert Baines and his subsequent split with WATTS. But on January 20th, we’ll see if the First Progenitor of Hyperoptimism has been able to make a full recovery, as he goes one-on-one with former Television Champion Ray Rosas.
Samuel Shaw was unsuccessful in his bid to get inside the mind of Willie Mack and capture his NWA National Title, but on January 20th, a brand new contender to the championship will step up to the plate, as the Oceanview Pavilion once again plays host to the Return of the Mack!
The first event of 2019 saw the championship scene in CWFH shaken to its very core! First, the ROCKNES MONSTERS defeated Double Platinum to claim the vacant United World Tag Team Titles, only to be completely laid out by their embittered opponents after the match. Then, after the new champions foiled Double Platinum’s attempt to interfere in the main event, “Uptown” Andy Brown finally defeated Royce Isaacs to become the brand new Hollywood Heritage Champion! With all of these combustible elements, the only logical choice was to throw them all into the ring at once, so on January 20th, we will see six-man tag team action, as Andy Brown and the ROCKNES MONSTERS take on Royce Isaacs and Double Platinum!
