CAMARILLO — Employment law firm LightGabler is offering state-mandated sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention seminars on Tuesday January 14 for supervisors and Wednesday, January 15 for non-supervisory employees. Topics include prevention of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and abusive conduct (bullying) in the workplace.

By January 1, 2021, companies with five or more employees must provide their supervisors and their non-supervisory employees with interactive sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training. Training is to be repeated every two years. Yearly training is required for agricultural employees.

New employees must be trained within six months of hire, and new supervisors within six months of starting a supervisory position (temporary staffing agencies have shorter compliance windows). For supervisors, training must be at least two hours in length, and one hour for non-supervisory employees.

Training will be presented by LightGabler employment law attorney Kathleen M. Fellows. The supervisor seminar will be from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The cost is $50 per person. The non-supervisory training course will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The cost is $25 per person. Both seminars will be held at LightGabler offices (760 Paseo Camarillo, Suite 300, Camarillo).

Seating is limited. Reservations can be made by going to http://www.lightgablerlaw.com and clicking “Seminars.” For questions, call 805-248-7089.
