VENTURA COUNTY — Art Director, Jamie Morrison, has recently been promoted to Vice President of Consortium Media. Jamie’s award-winning graphic design innovations have launched many successful creative campaigns for brands and nonprofits. Under her vision, she led the rebranding of the Ventura County Public Works Agency and Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties Children and Family Services Foster Care division.
“Jamie is one of our country’s top designers for graphics and art design. Her deep knowledge of what works with the CM (Consortium Media) brand vision and messaging for our clients sets her above and ahead of any other designer that I have worked with in my 30 years of Consortium Media,” says the CEO Denise Bean-White.
Morrison started at CM in 2013 as a Graphic Designer. After two years, she was promoted to Senior Graphic Designer before becoming Art Director. Her past positions entailed everything from creating brand logos to campaign designs as well as running client meetings. Now as Vice President she has more of a leadership/management role with clients and with other CM employees.
“Her appointment to VP was, in addition to her design and artistic capabilities of seeing the brand vision, messaging and cultural nuances, comes from her deep-seated care for the work and the clients that we help in successful programs,” says Bean-White.
Morrison applied to CM back in 2013 because she saw all the wonderful work they did for the nonprofits in various communities.
“I was working at a nonprofit at the time I applied here, and I wanted to keep doing similar work, but I liked the idea of helping many different organizations not just one. I also went through CM’s Facebook page and saw how much fun the staff had together, and I wanted to be a part of an environment like that,” says Morrison.
Morrison has many great accomplishments in her 9 years at CM, but a few campaigns have a special place in her heart. “I am immensely proud of the work I have done for Ventura County Children and Family Services because of that work they were able to help many families in Ventura County. That work also inspired other counties to hire us to do similar work for them. I love knowing I am helping and educating people through my design.”
Morrison received an Art Degree with an emphasis on Graphic Design at Cal State University Channel Islands. In 2022 she hopes to continue to learn and stay on top of trends since Design and marketing has changed so much in recent years.
