The Central Coast Alliance for a Sustainable Economy, the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation, Future Leaders of America and other organizations will present “Raising healthy kids and healthy communities: A community action forum,” from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9 at the Ventura College Cafeteria, 4667 Telegraphy Road, Ventura.
Topics include better public transportation and safer streets to walk and bike, more parks and open space in low-income communities and healthier lunches in local schools.
Child care is available and breakfast snacks and lunch will be provides.
