FOOD Share has launched its Tackle Hunger Super Bowl food drive, encouraging high school students, sports groups and the Associated Student Body to help collect 25,000 pounds of food from now through Feb. 28, Ventura County’s regional food bank reported this week.
The Tackle Hunger Super Bowl food drive invites students to help FOOD Share feed the 73,000 people each month with donations of non-perishable nutritional food. A PODS moving and storage container will be delivered to each participating school to serve as a collection site.
The group of students that collects the most food will win a Domino’s pizza party and a special visit from professional NFL players, FOOD Share reported.
