OXNARD — After a successful Malibu run in the 2010s and a pandemic pause, Fireball Tim’s Wheels & Waves is back, in its second month and better than ever—this time at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum. Car enthusiasts, families, and community members are invited to experience this lively, free-to-the-public event, held on the first Sunday of each month from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM in front of the Museum at 3900 Bluefin Circle, Oxnard.
Originally launched in 2010 by renowned automotive personality Fireball Tim, Wheels & Waves has long been celebrated as one of Southern California’s premier cars and coffee events, drawing crowds and over 250 cars each month before its COVID-induced hiatus. Now relaunching at the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, the event continues to bring together a diverse collection of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and more, with their passionate owners on-site to share the stories and details about their vehicles.
Beyond the cars, each Wheels & Waves event offers special features, with something different each month, such as guest speakers, demonstrations and pet adoptions, creating a vibrant atmosphere that’s perfect for families, car lovers and casual visitors alike. As a pet-friendly event, even your furry friends can come and enjoy our outdoor show.
In addition, the Channel Islands Maritime Museum will be open during the event, giving attendees the chance to explore its world-class art and one-of-a-kind ship model exhibits. Each month promises something new, ensuring that Wheels & Waves is always fresh, fun, and full of surprises.
