OXNARD — Summer is in full swing at The Collection at Riverpark with free family-friendly concerts, our weekly Kids Club and a show featuring animal expert Corbin Maxey and his collection of reptile friends. For the sports lovers in your family, The Collection is also hosting an Oxnard Fan Night with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. 

Come enjoy the season of fun in the sun at The Collection. 

To entertain the littlest members of your family, grab a picnic blanket and join us for Kids Club at Collection Park for fun-filled mornings of story time, crafts and fun surprises sponsored by Sunny Smiles Dentistry for Children and Young Adults. Kids Club will meet from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. on July 26 and August 2 and 9th. Activities will include face painting, character performances and fun weekly themes, like To The Rescue!

Sports fans can get their fix on July 28 during Oxnard Fan Night hosted by Visit Oxnard with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and the team’s mascot, Rowdy. This free event will feature Dallas Cowboys trivia, contests, giveaways and performances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and local dance crews Undeclared and Hip Hop Mindset. ZEALE of rap duo Blackillac will host the event, which will be held from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. in Collection Park

For the animal lovers in your brood, mark your calendars to explore the world of reptiles with animal expert and YouTube star Corbin Maxey. Maxey will share fun facts about animals as he interacts with his own family of wild creatures including lizards, snakes and turtles. The free show will be held at Collection Park on Aug. 22 at 5:30 p.m sponsored by Dignity Health St. John’s Regional Medical Center and St. John’s Hospital Camarillo. The 45-minute show will be followed by a meet and greet from 6:15-7:15 p.m.

If you’re looking for fun to please the whole family, bring blankets, lawn chairs and your best dance moves to Rock the Collection, our free summer concert series at Collection Park. These live outdoor shows featuring popular rock and pop tribute bands will be held on Wednesday nights at 6:30. Concerts will include:

August 23 – Bruno and the Hooligans – A tribute to Bruno Mars

September 6 – Kings of Queen – A tribute to Queen

September 20 – Prince Again – A tribute to Prince

October 4 – DSB – A tribute to Journey
