Muses and Inspirations: The Art of Vladimir and Gösta Iwasiuk

On view now thru May 10, 2026

Our current favorite love story has to be artist Dr. Vladimir Iwasiuk (1905-1986) and his wife, Olga (pictured above). The couple met in Romania in 1933, survived World War II, and later settled in Santa Paula. Their son, Gösta, was born in Austria in 1943. Outside his medical practice, Vladimir was a prolific artist, and his family were his favorite subjects. Gösta, a longtime Ventura County surgeon, inherited his father’s devotion to both medicine and art.

The father and son are at the heart of our current exhibition Muses and Inspirations. See it now through May 10.
