Mobile consulate services, concert, Cabrillo celebration among activities

The Mexican Consulate in Oxnard will kick off a busy weekend with its mobile consulate services from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, 427 N. Oak St., Santa Paula.

Information will be provided on matrículas consulares, pasaportes, registro civil and poderes notariales.

The city will also be the setting for the Santa Paula Concert Series VIII, Exotic and Exuberant World Music, 8 p.m.,

In Oxnard, the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation will present its 30th anniversary “Family Festival,” a NeighborWorks Week Event “Working Together for Strong Communities,” from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard.

“Pathways to Peace and Prosperity” will celebrate 30 years of CEDC’s operations, history and commitment to community revitalization, the organization reported in a media release. The event will be emceed by media personality David Cruz and will include live music and entertainment, food and games, art and children’s activities, and access to organizations providing education, homeownership and community services.
