OXNARD — El Centrito Family Learning Centers is proud to unveil a new agency logo. The new logo illustrates the agency motto, “Where Families Learn Together,” and captures
El Centrito’s commitment to provide comprehensive services to the whole family and to instill a life-long love of learning.
“It’s been a lot of work to create an image that is bright and simple and yet clearly communicates our vision and the impact we hope to have on families within our community,” said Teresa Segovia,
El Centrito’s Executive Director.
“The image of parents reading with their child nods to the agency’s flagship Family Literacy Program, which was recognized among one of the top 10 in California. Now, all of El Centrito’s education and leadership programs are anchored by the power of families learning together, and the new logo shows that.”
El Centrito’s new logo was created in part with the assistance of Melissa Rodriguez, an art student at California State University, Channel Islands (CSUCI), who was working on her culminating senior Capstone Project. “We were so fortunate to have this partnership,” remarked Segovia. “The energy and expertise of the students working on their final Capstone Project was a great help and motivator for them to complete this important work for El Centrito.”
The release of the new logo comes just in time for El Centrito’s summer outreach and recruitment for the next school year. El Centrito is currently enrolling for all its programs including: California State Preschool Programs, Little Dolphins Early Childhood Education Program, Summer STEAM Academy, and the Padres Promotores de la Educación Project. Together, each of these programs help advance the agency’s mission, which is “to create a multicultural community of excellence by inspiring children, youth and families of Ventura County to learn, lead and reach their greatest potential.”
