CALIFORNIA COMPETES TAX CREDIT APPLICATIONS START JULY 29TH
 The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) application periods, credits available, and committee meeting dates for fiscal year 2019-2020 have been posted here. The first application period will start on July 29, 2019, with $90 million in tax credits available.
Starting July 29, the online application can be accessed at www.calcompetes.ca.gov

City of Ventura Business Loans
Through its Business Assistance Program, the City of Ventura funds three separate loan options. One is a small business or micro-enterprise program; the second is designed to revitalize the city’s older commercial districts through building rehabilitation, such as through facade and structural improvements; the third is to support commercial property owners with code compliance. All of these loan programs are aimed at assisting business owners overcome some of the hurdles to successful entrepreneurship. EDC’s role is to provide business counseling and loan application assistance to business and building owners and to handle all loan underwriting and subsequent servicing.

SBA DISASTER LOAN DEADLINE APPROACHING
If your business suffered economic injury due to the effects of the Hill/Woolsey fires, the deadline for applying for a loan through the SBA is August 12, 2019. Clients who have been impacted by the Hill/Woolsey Fire and are interested in government assistance (either FEMA or SBA) should apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by phone at 1-800-621-3362. The toll-free numbers are open 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.

FREE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY OFFERED FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY THE THOMAS AND HILL/WOOLSEY FIRES
California Lutheran University (CLU) Community Counseling Centers, is offering free counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups impacted by the Thomas fire and resulting mudslides. Centers are located in Oxnard (2200 Outlet Center Dr. #470) and Westlake Village (31416 Agoura Rd. #115).
If you have been impacted either directly (e.g., lost home, loss of employment, etc.) or indirectly (e.g., relative or co-worker of survivor, business owner dealing with long-term effects, etc.), please contact the CLU Community Counseling Center office at (805)-493-3059 to set up an appointment.
CREATIVE COMMUNITY THOMAS FIRE GRANTS AVAILABLE- APPLY BY AUGUST 1ST!
Ventura County creatives – artists, writers, musicians, performers, designers, sculptors, teachers, filmmakers. If you or your creative career were impacted by the Thomas Fire or Montecito Debris
Flow, you may be eligible for relief funding.
The Creative Community Thomas Fire Grant is intended to help those that experienced physical or economic losses to meet basic needs or invest in their creative practice. Award amounts: $250 to $2,500. Visit www.VCArtsCouncil.org for info and to Apply.
