The free business and information seminar “Strengthening Manufacturers: Manufacturing from start to success,” begins with registration at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 22 at the Ventura County Office of Education, 5100 Adolfo Road, Camarillo.
The forum will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Keynote speaker is Ron Meritt, president of Meritt International and Ölens Technology. Meritt invented and patented a portable video system for vehicles and created a market that grew from zero dollars to more than $200 million in 18 months, the Economic Development Corporation-VC reported in a media release.
Other panel members include Lance Korthals, a senior executive who managed and led engineering-based firms with a successful track record developing marketing initiatives; Pat Sweeney, executive and professional consulating specializing in financial management and cash flow analysis; and Ron Hickling, who used the Small Business Innovation Research process in manufacturing, the EDC-VC reported.
Presented by the EDC-VC, the Small Business Development Center, the Workforce Investment Board and the Recycling Market Development Zone. Deadline to RSVP is June 20.
