EDC Launches New Website to Support Business Community

The Economic Development Collaborative is proud to announce the launch of our new website www.edcollaborative.com! Over the last 6 months the EDC has conducted a thorough analysis of the needs of our public and private stakeholders as well as our SBDC clients and determined that a rebrand of the Economic Development Collaborative and further clarification of our product offerings and business support resources would allow us to serve our clients and improve Ventura County and the regional economy in a greater capacity. While working as a convener, collaborator, research partner and direct service provider, our goal was to create a website that provides clarity around our service offerings in an intuitive and straightforward manner and serves the business community by providing resources and direct access to technical assistance. Take some time to look around!
WEBSITE CHANGES WORTH NOTING -In an effort to enhance overall client experience the EDC has made the following changes:
Program Offerings and No-Cost Technical Assistance:
  • Program offerings are clarified under EDC Grow, EDC Global, EDC Loan, EDC Invest and EDC Film and full program documents are available to download with detail on program requirements and enrollment steps.
  •  A streamlined the e-signup process for all SBDC clients with applicable links on program and contact pages has been created to optimize client engagement and turnaround time for technical assistance.
EDC Initiatives and Research:
  • Current initiatives of the EDC and regional snapshots of Ventura and Santa Barbara County are included to highlight the economic ecology of each county and our ongoing initiatives to improve the region.
  • EDC has published and included partner and in house research on key issues affecting the regional economy.
Additional Business Resources:
  • A comprehensive Business Resources page assists clients with questions from startup to business growth and expansion and a detailed EDC Business Start Up Guide for Ventura and Santa Barbara County is available to download that references permit and license needs.
Social Media, Partner Collaboration and Opportunities:
  • Find us on social media! The EDC will continue to share resources, partner events and economic development tools on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook under the handle @edcollaborative. Be sure to follow us!
  • The EDC Calendar will detail upcoming events, training and resource partner opportunities.
