SHUTTERED VENUE OPERATORS GRANT
APPLICATION REOPENS APRIL 26, 2021 AT 12:00 PM EDT
The U.S. Small Business Administration will reopen the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant application portal on Saturday, April 26, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. To learn more about this program including grant amounts, eligibility criteria, eligible funding uses and prioritization of awards CLICK HERE.
How to Prepare for SVOG
1. Potential applicants should register on the portal in advance. Applicants will also need a smartphone and a multi-factor authenticator app to register and apply.
2. To receive a SVOG grant or access any federal government grants, your business will need to register for a free System for Award Management (SAM) number. Use the following steps to get started:
  • Create a Login.gov account at https://login.gov/.
  • Sign up for a Dun & Bradstreet D-U-N-S® Number if you do not already have one at https://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/index.jsp. This typically takes 1-2 days to process.
  • Register with SAM at https://sam.gov/SAM/ using your Login.govinformation, DUNS number and standard business information (such as your Tax ID Number). It can take up to 2 weeks to receive your SAM number.
  • Do not register for a SAM number on any other website or pay for a SAM number.
  • For more information on this process view the SAM.gov Registration Training video CLICK HERE.
If you have submitted your SAM.gov registration, but the registration is not yet active, you can still apply for relief under the SVOG program. During the SVOG application process, you will have to attest that you have submitted your SAM.gov registration.
