Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit El Concilio Family Services of Oxnard
CAMARILLO — El Concilio Family Services has announced the Annual Golf Tournament, The Dr. Raymond F. Lopez Jr Golf Classic set to take place on Monday, August 27th at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, CA. The tournament will benefit El Concilio’s mission to support the agricultural workers and their families in the region.
El Concilio Family Services is proud to name their tournament the Dr. Raymond F. Lopez Jr. Golf Classic,aptly titled for a man who has dedicated his professional life to improving the health of farmworkers.
The Dr Raymond F Lopez Golf Classic will take place on Monday, August 27th at Spanish Hills Golf & Country Club, a private country club and world-class golf course located at 999 Crestview Avenue, Camarillo, CA. Registration starts at 9:00 am, tee off 11:00 am.
With over 36 teams expected, this golf tournament has secured sponsors to include The Players Casino, California Resource Corporation, Wells Fargo Bank, Plaza Development Partners, and the Ventura County Agricultural Association. Ocean View Medical Specialist, Las Islas Medical Group and Monsanto Seed Company. Local media supports and promotes this event through Gold Coast Broadcasting, Vida News andAmigos805.com as well as regional golf affiliates such as the Hole in One International.
This 4-person Texas Scramble game will include prizes, awards, lunch, beverages, dinner, and a chance to win a car with a hole in one-give-away! Participation is tax-deductible to the fullest extend allowed by law. Proceeds from the fundraiser go toward El Concilio Family Services.

About Dr. Lopez: Dr. Lopez began his career in healthcare in 1988, as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Over the next 12 years he built a successful practice on a reputation for excellence and integrity.
With the intent of doing more for the community, Dr. Lopez made a major decision to leave behind a thriving practice to pursue a medical degree. He completed his residency at the Ventura County Medical Center in family medicine in 2008.
Now, he is the Sr. Medical Director of La Clinica Fresalud provided by Premise Health for the health and well-being of the agricultural workers of Reiter Affiliated, in Oxnard, Watsonville, Santa Maria and Salinas.
Dr. Lopez has been selected as one of thirty-four health care professionals in the state of California to participate in the prestigious Champion Provider Fellowship Program. The 2-year fellowship focuses on policy, systems and on environmental change related to obesity and chronic disease prevention in the Latino community.
He has consistently made solid connections throughout his career, building on his skills, always focused on the goal of improving the health of the farmworker community.
