SANTA MARIA — Delta High School was recently designated a Model Continuation High School (MCHS) for 2021, making it one of 27 in the state.
The school retains the designation for three years and will be virtually recognized for creating various opportunities for their students to pursue academic and social success at the California Continuation Education Association (CCEA) State Conference in San Diego, April 15-18.
“It’s an honor and our staff does a great job working together to eliminate the barriers and numerous challenges students face,’’ said Principal Sal Reynoso.
Delta was also named a MCHS in 2018.
The school’s attendance is about 350 students. There are more than 400 continuation schools in the state serving about 50,000 students.
