December Art Classes at the Santa Paula Art Museum

SANTA PAULA —The Santa Paula Art Museum will offer three new art classes in December, each of which will bring a bit of peace and joy to your holiday season! To reserve a spot in class, please visit www.santapaulaartmuseum.org/creativity.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2019, learn how to turn any holiday gift into a work of art during the Museum’s “One-of-a-kind Wrappings” class from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Teaching artist Kathleen Kaller will show you how to design your own wrapping papers using the elegant and easy suminigashi paper-marbling process. The cost of class is $35.00, and all students age 16 and over are welcome. Preregistration is required.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019, learn the essentials of block printing and how to make beautiful prints on fabric during the Museum’s “Projects in Block Printing: Tea Towels” class from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Teaching artist Matilda Morrison will show you the tools, techniques and tricks of this fun medium. The cost of class is $45.00, and all students age 16 and over are welcome. Preregistration is required.

On Thursday, December 12, 2019, come and get your holly jolly craft on during the Museum’s “Crafty Creations” class from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Teaching artist Mariann Romero will show you how to make adorable ornaments for the holidays. Simply pay what you can for this very fun class! All students age 12 and over are welcome. Preregistration is required.

The Santa Paula Art Museum occupies two historic buildings located at 117 N 10th Street and 123 N 10th Street in downtown Santa Paula. The Museum features rotating exhibitions of vintage and contemporary art, art classes for children and adults, monthly Free Family Days, creative community events, a well-curated gift shop and more. Regular museum hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, and Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
